Race Report June 21, 2003 June 21, 2003 (Top Gun Raceway): The California Independent Funny Car Association (CIFCA) made their annual trek to Fallon, NV. The DragParts.com points standings would shuffle as teams went from zero to hero and visa versa. Dennis Murphy of Simi Valley won the season opener with Jack Beckman at the wheel but lost in the first round at the following race. Race Report June 14, 2003 June 14, 2003 (The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway): The California Independent Funny Car Association returned to Las Vegas after a 6-year hiatus. This was the first time that CIFCA raced on the new ‘strip and what a pleasure it was. A smooth race surface with excellent Musco lighting and the latest Chrondek timing system made for first class racing.
